Khon Kaen Terminal: Northeastern Thailand’s Largest and Most Advanced Oil Distribution Hub

Located on approximately 200 rai (32 hectares) in Ban Phai District, Khon Kaen Province, the Khon Kaen Terminal serves as a key petroleum logistics hub for major national oil retailers such as PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited, Thai Oil Public Company Limited, Shell Company of Thailand Limited, Star Fuels Marketing Company Limited, and Bangkok Fuel Pipeline and Logistics Company Limited.

With a pipeline system spanning 342 kilometers, the terminal facilitates oil distribution throughout northeastern Thailand and exports to the Lao PDR. The pipeline connects to the main network of Thai Petroleum Pipeline Co., Ltd. (Thappline) in Saraburi, with a maximum annual transportation capacity of 5,443 million liters. The storage capacity at the terminal reaches 157 million liters, and the facility is equipped with an advanced automatic injection and blending system — making it the largest and most modern oil depot in the region.

TPN is committed to environmental responsibility. The terminal is equipped with a Vapor Recovery Unit (VRU) to control emissions and prevent the release of volatile organic compounds into the atmosphere, reducing air pollution. The multi-product pipeline system allows efficient transportation of various petroleum products, helping to alleviate road traffic congestion, lower accident risks, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
